Stefan Nilsson, New Scandinavian Design – changes and new trends from Sweden and neighboring countries

Scandinavian design has for a long time been equivalent to plain minimalism, but with the new trends also this changes. In this seminar, Stefan Nilsson will point out the most important changes in trend categories that fall in themes like “Howdy Cowboy”, “Made here” and the glamorous and colourful trend “Falcon Crest”.

Stefan Nilsson is today the leading trendspotter in the Scandinavian region. Travelling the world, he scouts new design talents and producers. New trends and other findings are reported both mostly to companies who want to help them, but Stefan also reports for the media, such as Sweden’s Sweden’s largest morning show Nyhetsmorgon, radio and printed magazines. He is based in Stockholm, where he is the owner of trend and PR agency Trendgruppen, as well as the owner of a design gallery for design -– Designgalleriet. Previously, Stefan worked for the Swedish Society of Crafts and Design, and had a design store in the center centre of Stockholm.
