Extraordinary wood carvings can be found when you visit Polish markets. Some of the most interesting ones are carved in the Beskids, a mountain range in southern Poland. The wood carvers from there present their wares on the markets. My father is from this region. My mother has always said that he is a true ‘Goral’, a boy from the mountains. Influenced by these crafts from the country of my origin, I used my own woodworking skill to create a series of small objects made of pear tree wood.
